Model railroading is a hobby for all seasons. No matter what the weather you can enjoy this hobby from the comfort of your own home. A train layout can be small enough to fit on a coffee table or have been known to consume an entire basement.

Train Gauge Guide

The most popular sizes are N gauge, HO gauge and O gauge. N gauge is the smaller of the scales we support with a typical layout size of 2 feet by 4 feet. HO gauge is the most popular with an average layout of 4 feet by 8 feet. O gauge is most commonly referred to as Lionel size. A typical size layout for this gauge ranges from 4 feet by 8 feet to as large as in entire room.
